Preparation & Aftercare
The longevity and vibrancy of your permanent makeup or paramedical tattoo depend significantly on how you prepare your skin and care for it during healing. Following these professional protocols ensures optimal pigment retention and a beautiful, natural result.
Hydration Focus
Drink plenty of water in the 48 hours leading up to your appointment to maintain skin elasticity.
Avoid Stimulants
Do not consume alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior to your session to minimize sensitivity.
Pre-Care Essentials
Following these steps ensures your skin is at its healthiest state, allowing for optimal pigment retention and a more comfortable session.
Avoid Sun
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 7 days prior. Sunburned skin cannot be treated.
Thinning Meds
Avoid Ibuprofen, Aspirin, and Niacin for 24 hours, as they can cause excessive bleeding.
No Actives
Stop use of Retin-A, AHAs/BHAs, or any exfoliating treatments in the area 2 weeks before.
Skin Health
Ensure the treatment area is free from active breakouts, rashes, or open wounds.
Immediate & Long-Term Post-Care
Optimal healing requires precision. Follow these core aftercare steps to protect your investment and ensure long-lasting, beautiful results.
Cleanse Gently
Within 2-3 hours, gently blot the area with a damp cotton pad to remove lymph fluid. Continue twice daily with mild soap.
Hydrate & Protect
Apply a thin layer of provided ointment 2-3 times a day. Keep the skin hydrated without suffocating it.
Avoid Sun
Avoid direct sun, swimming, and sweating for 14 days. These can cause pigment loss or irritation.
No Picking
Flaking is normal. Do not pick or scratch. Let the skin shed naturally for the best pigment retention.
